VP of Marketing
At REX, Perryn oversees all marketing efforts for all of REX’s companies (REX Engineering Group, REX Construction Services, and REX Technology Solutions) including brand positioning, marketing strategy, digital media, and business development pursuits. He is active with the companies’ company culture and other growth initiatives.
Prior to joining the REX team in 2021, Perryn cut his teeth growing from an intern to the leader of a boutique construction marketing firm. He then worked as a brand strategist for a national marketing agency focused on the high growth professional services firms. Next, Perryn led the marketing and business development team for a large Louisiana IT firm as their Chief Strategy Officer.
He has been an active member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) for over a decade, previously serving the organization as a chapter president, chair, and board member of SMPS Southeast Louisiana; co-chair of SMPS Southern Regional Conference; and sitting on numerous committees at the Society-level. Perryn is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) with SMPS and a Certified Construction Marketing Professional (CCMP) with the Construction Marketing Association.
Perryn wrote the Construction Executives Guide to Brand Marketing, has extensively written in construction-industry publications; spoken at numerous industry conferences including SMPS, ABC, CFMA, and AGC; and has been a guest of numerous marketing podcasts. He was named as New Orleans City Business’ One to Watch in both Construction and Technology as well as to ENR’s 40 Under 40.
He grew up in New Orleans, was active in Scouting for over two decades earning the rank of Eagle and starting a Venturing Crew. Perryn graduated from Loyola University New Orleans, and still lives in the New Orleans area with his wife, daughters, and husky.
